Red Cascade

This spring's rains have been phenomenal for the garden--look how fat and lush and green everything is!

In particular, 'Red Cascade' has finally come into its own.  It bloomed a little bit after Peak Rose but wow, it was loaded.

Here's to you, 'Red Cascade'!

It takes a few years to establish in a semi-shady spot like this one, but in the end, it comes up beautifully.

That Red Cascade is magnificent. I couldn't even get mine to live past last summer.

I've so wanted to come by but I am swamped with work all this year and no end in sight. Got to make the money while it is there as I know there is an opposite to it.

Ooh, I didn't know that rose would grow in semi-shade. It's lovely!

Thanks, Bob! I'm sorry your RC didn't work out! But then, last summer was a nightmare.

I'm glad you've got lots of work these days. I've been rather awol myself, so I can't criticize. Come by whenever you have time!

Thanks, Caroline! I think it takes a little longer to get established, and maybe it's a little more susceptible to powdery mildew in the shade, but given time, it comes up beautifully. I just wish it would stop trying to eat our walkway...
